Well, it’s that time of the season again and when the State Fair is over everyone starts planning for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Only a couple months away and we have all the football and other sports to keep anyone busy.
The games this past weekend were pretty darn good especially with my two teams coming out in the win column.
We had a very busy weekend this past weekend and I want to thank each and everyone for coming in to the store to visit.
With this being the slow time of the year for our business, your presence sure changes things from the past years compared to the same time this year. We really do appreciate everyone and we always look forward to seeing you.
I am posting most of our products and prices on my web page which you can go directly to by clicking the site below and this helps in keeping the newsletter shorter.

We also have Cajun Crab Dip which everyone thoroughly enjoys and we also have Seafood Gumbo, Crawfish Etoufee, and Shrimp Creole that many of our customers love. I will add the new items to our seafood list as we are sure we will keep them in stock. So, please visit the web site when you need to see a full list of our products.
**New items added to our list:
Breaded Gulf Oysters: 8.99 lb (approx 18-25 per lb)(cornmeal and flour)

With the Halibut season coming to an end around November 15th, today,I secured enough Halibut after the season closes so we have enough Halibut to keep us stocked for two to three months. Prices have gone sky high on Halibut this week and the current cost in Dallas from all the suppliers is more than what I sell to my customers. This is why I do the things I do to keep the cost down as much as I can because the suppliers do not look at it this way.
This is very important to know: There are only a couple of seafood markets in town and if you were to compare my cost with them, you’ll find that everyone is up there on prices for seafood. The few that are around, compete with Central Market and Whole Foods. They are the highest prices in town. Our suppliers truly concentrate on Restaurants and I don’t have to tell you about their selling price. Being that they can get what they want in prices from Restaurants, they don’t care about the rising prices on seafood. So, my job for my customers is to find the highest quality at the lowest price so I can keep cost down for everyone.
We are always looking for great recipes to share with our customers so if you can send us your special recipe, I’ll be happy to post it for all of our customers to enjoy.
Every week, we are making Seafood Kabobs for our customers. If you would like us to make any special for you, just give us a call or come on in and select the seafood you want to be skewered. We have a great selection for you to choose from. It only takes a few minutes and we can have them ready by the time you come to pick them up or we can make them for you while you wait. Remember, whatever the cost is in our seafood case that you select is what you pay. No prep charges just select what you want and we price it out on how much you want on the skewer.
I hope we can make some for you.
