Hi Everyone!
 
It was great seeing everyone this past weekend. It was another busy one for us at the store. I really appreciate all of you that came by.
We sold out of thousands of pounds of Crawfish on Saturday and Sunday and we also had many
customers purchase our freshly cooked crawfish on Saturday and we ended up selling out after doing three large batches.
I hope that everyone keeps up with the weather so that your plans don’t get ruined by bad weather.
I try to tell everyone to keep up with the weather especially when you order something that is perishable.
If you are having Crawfish on a weekend and the weather doesn’t look so great, you can call us up until 5:00 P.M. on Friday to change your order. That is one reason I continue to emphasize how important it is to order and reserve as early as possible so you plenty of time to keep up with the weather and also make any changes that you need to make before it’s too late.
Last weekend we had a lot of cancellations on Friday for Saturday when the weather was suppose to be real bad, it turned out to be a really nice day and if they were to keep up with the forecast, they would have seen what I had been watching all week. Some customers didn’t know that it was going to rain on Sunday.
So, try to keep up with the weather so you’ll know in time to throw your party or to delay it.
Also, please understand that when we place an order that is reserved by our customer, the customer is responsible for the order to be picked up. Please do not try to cancel if we have received your order. We have all the crawfish we need.

What a hot one we’re having lately. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend this past weekend. It was very busy at the store again and we greatly appreciate each and every one of you for your support.

Just a reminder that Monday Sept. 7th. is Labor Day. We will be open all weekend and if there is any special orders that you need to place, we have plenty of time. We are only reminding everyone so you have enough time to start planning what you will be needing for your outside grilling or maybe even a big shrimp and crab boil. Or maybe you’ll only need some of the best Cajun Crab Dip around to share with your friends and family.

LIVE BLUE CRAB

Just to keep everyone updated, over the last couple  of months we started our Live Blue Crab Program again.

We are working directly with one of the largest Blue Crab suppliers in the industry. They are one of the largest suppliers that supply the Maryland Crab association on a daily basis, shipping thousands of pounds of Live Blue Crab to many of the major restaurants in the Maryland area.

Our Blue Crab program has been working great since June and I hope that everyone who enjoys Blue Crab can now expect to get some really nice large and lively crab. For those who have not experienced eating them in the past, it’s a lot of fun and it does make for a good reason to have friends and family over. It could become addicting. So be prepared.

When we started a couple months ago, all we could get was full bushels of crab(45 lbs)and now that our orders have picked up considerably our supplier is now splitting bushels for our customers.

Each bushel weighs 45 pounds. That’s approx. 9-10 dozen crab and we only bring in male crab. All of our Live Blue Crab come from our gulf and are delivered to us on Friday’s and Saturdays.

You do need to call in and reserve your order as soon as possible and when you get them, you will be amazed at the size and liveliness.

A very important note for everyone to understand, with fuel(diesel) prices the way they are right now and in the future, many commercial fisherman cannot afford to fish day boats. So if they did, they would pass the cost of fuel onto all of us. That’s why many have gone to the larger commercial boats that stay out longer before coming to shore to drop their catch.

Hi everyone! 

 

I hope everyone is having a great summer. I know the temperatures are reaching up there to where it can be very uncomfortable for a lot of people but I know form the past that we’ll probably see a lot more of this hot weather with August coming up.

I would like to let those of you who have been making a special trip to our store recently that I really appreciate you very much. Because of you, we had a really busy weekend last week. Now that the Crawfish season is officially over, we expect less customers that traditionally only come to us on a seasonal basis. I wish we could have crawfish all year long. I hope to see more of you throughout the year trying to eat healthy.

Just to keep everyone updated, we recently started our Live Blue Crab Program again.

We are working directly with one of the largest Blue Crab suppliers in the industry. They are one of the largest suppliers that supply the Maryland Crab association on a daily basis shipping thousands of pounds of Live Crab to many of the major restaurants in the Maryland area.

Our program has been working great since June and I hope that everyone who enjoys Blue Crab can now expect some really high quality product.

When we started, all we could get was full bushels and now that our orders have picked up considerably our supplier is now splitting bushels for our customers.

Each bushel weighs 45 pounds. That’s approx. 9-10 dozen crab and we only bring in male crab. All of our Live Blue Crab come from our gulf and are delivered to us on Friday’s and Saturdays.

You do need to call in and reserve your order as soon as possible and when you get them, you will be amazed at the size and liveliness.

I don’t know of any special events coming up to promote but we know many of you are planning your summer vacation and we hope everyone enjoys every minute of their vacation.

For those of you that will be in town this week, we have a great selection of some great fish on the grill.

So what I have done for everyone this week is to list the most popular fish that we are carrying in our store for the whole week along with this weekend also I have listed a group of fish we carry that are vacuumed sealed and frozen so you can stock up and you won’t have to get out as often in this heat. I hope you get an opportunity to try some of them, I promise you that you will be amazed at the quality and how easy it is to prepare.

Remember, what we don’t carry fresh, is caught on boats that have to stay out for a week at a time and these boats process the fish they catch and vacuum seal and flash freeze right on the boats. Same goes with shrimp. Be careful if someone says they have fresh shrimp, because who knows how long it’s been out of the water. I prefer my shrimp frozen and bagged at sea.

A very important note for everyone to understand, with fuel(diesel) prices the way they are right now and in the future, many commercial fisherman cannot afford to fish day boats. So if they did, they would pass the cost of fuel onto all of us. That’s why many have gone to the larger commercial boats that stay out longer before coming to shore to drop their catch.
